Coffee has been a constant thread in my life. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest—a true coffee mecca—shaped an early appreciation for the craft and culture around it. I’m fascinated by every brewing method, from simple pour-overs to more meticulous processes that reveal the subtle character of a bean. I spent four years living in and helping run a coffee shop in Arkansas, even raising my daughter during that time among the machines, grinders, and daily rhythm of the coffee culture. My favorite coffees often come from Ethiopia, especially a bright and floral Yirgacheffe coffee—and I’m always trying beans from roasters around the country in search of the next perfect fix.
